Expectations
AYRA's main goal is to provide a great environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun
through playing the wonderful sport of baseball. To help facilitate this, we have a simple set of
expectations for our coaches, players, and parents.
COACHES
- Will treat every player, parent, assistant coach, and umpire with dignity and respect.
- Will never use foul or offensive language.
- Will never belittle a player for mistakes or difficulty in mastering a skill.
- Will do his or her utmost to ensure every player has mastered the minimum required skills
before advancing to the next age group.
- Will set a good example for his or her players.
- Will ensure each player gets his or her fair share of playing time in every game.
- Will take responsibility for and control the behavior of all the team's players, coaches, and
spectators.
- Will always remember baseball is just a game and that winning is not the most important thing.
PLAYERS
- Will treat every teammate, coach, and umpire with dignity and respect.
- Will show up on time and ready to play for practices and games.
- Will work hard at mastering the skills taught by the coaching staff.
- Will practice the baseball skills outside of practice as well.
- Will listen to their coaches during practices and games.
- Will play hard in every game.
- Will respect all players on other teams.
PARENTS
- Will treat every player, coach, fellow parent, and umpire with dignity and respect.
- Will respect the volunteer effort by the AYRA coaches and Board of Directors.
- Will make every effort to get your child to practices and games on time.
- Will encourage your child to practice their baseball skills outside of practice as well.
- Will assist the coaching staff as necessary to help team operations move along smoothly.
