AYRA League Rules

AYRA adheres to the official rules of Major League Baseball. However, there is also a need to tailor the rules of baseball to accommodate our league's particular needs and the wide range of ages we service in our program. Thus, the rules that apply to AYRA are the rules of Major League Baseball as modified by the rules set forth below.

AYRA has a total of 6 leagues for the different age groups. The Pioneer I League is for ages 5 - 6, the Pioneer II League is for ages 7 - 8, the International League is for ages 9 - 10, the National League is for ages 11 - 12, the American League is for ages 13 - 14, and the Capital League is for ages 15 - 18. AYRA also sponsors multiple travel teams: 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, and 18U. The date for determining a player's age for a particular season is April 30, but may be waived by the applicable league commissioner if a step up or step down is requested by a coach or parent.

AYRA's League Rules are divided into multiple sections that pertain to both all players in the organization as well as age-specific rules. Click on a link below to see the appropriate rules.
