Refer a Friend Program

January 7, 2010

Want to earn a $25 credit on your registration fee? Well, it's easy with the AYRA Refer a Friend Program. If your child has a friend that has NOT played baseball with AYRA at anytime in the past and that friend registers to play recreational baseball with AYRA, you will receive a $25 credit on your registration fee. Just have your friend mention your name during the registration process (there's a place to enter it on the page Step 4 of 5) and AYRA will refund $25 of your registration fee. Have two friends to refer? You'll receive a $50 refund. Three gets you $75. And so on. It's that easy! So have your son or daughter round up some neighborhood kids or school friends and get them registered for AYRA!

AYRA Marketplace is now OPEN!

January 1, 2010

AYRA now offers an exciting new feature on our website called the AYRA Marketplace.

The Marketplace is an easy place where people in the AYRA family can put up for sale their used baseball equipment their kids have grown out of or just no longer use. I'm sure most of you have at least a few baseball things lying around the house or sitting in the garage that's no longer used by your kids. Instead of it continuing to collect dust or simply tossing it away, you can put it up for sale in the AYRA Marketplace.

In addition, you can also be notified automatically by email when a new item is added to the Marketplace so you'll know when something comes around you're in the market for. To get notified by email, just update your user preferences on your My Preferences page.

Please take a look at the AYRA Marketplace for more details.

AYRA Equipment Policy

July 1, 2009

Although AYRA recommends the use of AYRA provided safety equipment (batting helmets and catchers gear), we recognize the desire of some parents to provide their own equipment to mitigate the risk of the spread of communicable diseases. AYRA now permits the use of personally supplied safety equipment starting with the Fall 2009 season provided the equipment meets NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) Standards.

NOCSAE is the governing body for setting safety standards for athletic equipment manufacturers. Equipment that meets these standards will have a stamp on it that states "Meets NOCSAE Standard". Parents providing personal safety equipment for their child(ren) must physically show the player's coach that the equipment meets the NOCSAE standards before that equipment can be used at any practice, game, or AYRA event.

It is the PARENT'S and PLAYER'S responsibility to properly maintain and regularly inspect their personally supplied safety equipment. Additionally, it is the PARENT'S and PLAYER'S responsibility to ensure that no other player uses their personally supplied safety equipment. Sharing personally supplied safety equipment is NOT permitted.
